🔹 Trufig Plan — how to use it

What this tool is

The Trufig planning view. For every SKU it tells you in one place how much you hold, how much you consume a month, how much safety stock you should keep, and how much to make or buy over the coming months, so none of it has to be worked out by hand or raised one shortage at a time.

Planning runs from two angles: 🎯 Finished Goods, planned by finished product (Tania), and 🔧 Components, planned by component (Carlos).

Step by step

In the view selector pick 🎯 Finished Goods to see finished products only.
For the urgent ones only, filter status by 🔴 Below SS, everything under its safety stock.
Pick the horizon (3 / 6 / 9 / 12 months). That sets how many months the Suggested column adds up.
Read the Suggested column: how much to release as a PID or order within that horizon.
Use the month columns on the right to see which month each need lands in.
After uploading a new inventory query, use 📥 Upload Instor and then ↺ Recalculate.

The summary numbers at the top

Items — how many SKUs are being shown.

Below SS 🔴 — under safety stock, needs attention.

OK 🟢 — healthy stock.

Overstock 🟣 — more than the cushion calls for.

MAKE / BUY — how many are made against bought.

Inv Value — value of the stock being shown.

From Instor / Main MRP — which report the figure came from.

SS only — safety stock is set but they are not in the MRP yet.

What each column means

Status

🔴 under safety stock · 🟢 healthy · 🟣 overstocked.

On Hand

What you hold in MNDIN per PeopleSoft. The second line is WMS, and Δ flags the difference when it is large. “+N in X BU” is stock sitting in other business units.

Open PO

Already on the way on open purchase orders.

MAU

Average monthly usage. A 📐 means it was derived from the cushion (SS ÷ months of cover); otherwise it comes from the MRP.

🧬 Cascade MAU

Components only: the demand landing on it from every finished good that uses it. Hover to see which ones.

Effective SS

The target cushion, the minimum you should hold.

Type

MAKE or BUY. Edited in the TRUFIG SS tab.

Suggested

How much to release as a PID or order within the chosen horizon. This is the number to act on.

Months (Sep, Oct…)

Projected need month by month. Months inside the horizon are highlighted.

Data Source

Where the figure came from: Instor, Main MRP or SS.

💡 Tip: start in the Finished Goods view filtered to Below SS, then work the Suggested column top to bottom. That gives you, in order, what to release or order first.

🏭 Subcontract items

A subcontract item is bought from a supplier, so it shows up as a PO for Carlos, but we furnish its components. Its net monthly PO drives demand for those components, netted against their own stock. For each component mark who furnishes it: us, which cascades as demand, or the supplier, which creates none.
